My Story

Hi there,

Thanks for stopping by at PET CAB NEWS!

First, I would like to share some information about myself, then explain why this site exists.

I am involved in PET CAB NYC as a visionary and investor. Visionary, for developing the concept to branding the business.  This

includes; picking out the types of cars, colors, model and much more. The investing includes; putting up the money to buy the cars, pay for branding and incidentals.

Now, you may wonder how I got here.  I have always been an entrepreneur since a few years out of college.  At the age of 17, I was completely on my own with no parents.  I had paid for my own way through college and I had worked several jobs the entire time.  I was always creative and loved to work.  The key is to find your passion and never give up. While on campus at UW-Madison as a Film major, I was recruited for the Executive Training Program to become a buyer.  I worked at  Bloomingdale's, then moved on to 7th Avenue to assist the owner of the company in a Couture women's evening wear company doing:  design, PR and sales.  I actually worked with Mitzi Newhouse when she came up to the showroom.  From there, I started my own business as a fashion designer and sold my own collection to Bloomingdale's, Bergdorfs, Bendels, to name a few. I was featured in magazines, newspapers and even on a TV show.

In 1991, I started the KIDS NEWS NETWORK.  I had a strong interest in kids since I had recently became a parent. I created a job where I worked with all of the film studios doing press junkets for kid's films. My quotes of the films were featured in nationwide  newspaper and TV ad campaigns. My quotes for the films were even put on the videos and later DVDs.  I interviewed celebrities and authors or children's books for 19 years and CNN did a story on me.

Being an entrepreneur is not easy, but having a passion for what you do and being determined, focused and hardworking makes it work.

You also have to step back in lifestyle and only focus on the needs of the business, not which fancy restaurant you are going to eat at. With those ingredients , I do believe that success will come. I am an old person but I will keep working til I drop.

I decided to do Pet Cab News because I think that it is important to share with our clients and potential clients more about  PET CAB NYC.  It certainly is a luxury service for pets.  The business is designed to make it seamless for a pet owner to get their dog or cat picked up and dropped off for their  appointment. It clearly is not for everybody.

It is a pet transportation company, not a NYC taxi.  Some clients can come along with their pet, but only if special arrangements are made.. NYC is a bustling city with a lot of traffic which offers no guarantees on timing. UBER and LYFT exists with rides for owners and their pets, but the ride is not always guaranteed. There are many stories where they show up and leave because the driver doesn't like the pet.  Flexibility and no drama is the only way to do business.  PET CAB NYC offers 24/7  service and does long and short trips year round.  There are other companies out there who do the same thing as PET CAB NYC but they are not Manhattan based. Pet Cab NYC is the only pet transportation company that is physically in Manhattan.

PET CAB NEWS will provide upcoming information on PET CAB NYC and provide some news stories  going on in the pet industry. We will also share some pet fashion, trends and take the reader to some of the boarding facilities and training schools.  I love animals so much and am so pleased to see how much the pet owners we meet love their dogs and cats. IN case you were wondering about the beautiful dog on the logo, that is my Tosca.  She was a Bracco Italiano from Poland. Sadly, She passed on May 23, 2024 from lymphoma.  If there is any question that you may have, then please contact us.

My next project is the DOGGIE LOO, a portable toilet for dogs that is biodegradable. It is going to be available at Walmart and on this site and the DOGGIE LOO site.

We would love to hear from you!

Thank you kindly,

JoAnna Levenglick
