Fox 11 in LA reported this story on Wednesday November 12, 2025 citing on camera a woman who around 1:36 walked down the steps of her apartment building in Anaheim, California carrying a white plastic bag with her maltese dog tied in it. She walked to the garbage area and threw her dog over the gate. The dog did manage to get out. It must have been someone who saw the video footage and called Dr. Ash and took the dog in.
