Horse and Shetland Pony Mauled by 2 Dogs in England

The BBC covered an incident in Batley where a Shetland pony and a horse were attacked by two aggressive dogs in a field. The dogs' owner, a 33-year-old man, was arrested for possessing two dangerous animals. Animal Control has taken the dogs for clinical evaluation. Sadly, the horse did not survive. This is not the first occurrence of such an attack by dogs. There have been numerous reports in previous years of dogs attacking and killing Shetland ponies.
