It has been more than 16 months since Valerie, the mini dachshund saw her owners, Georgia Gordon and Josh Fishlock on Kangeroo Island in South Australia. The island is know for it's wilderness and wildlife. Valerie, who was wearing a pink collar escaped from the pen that was set up while the couple took a walk. There were multiple sightings of Valerie over time, but no one was able to catch her. Most recently, Kangla, the wildlife rescue service managed to video her and confirmed with the owners that it was Valerie. She was still wearing her pink collar too. She is scared and tends to run off when people approach her, but Kangla is moving in on the territory where Valerie is. They are narrowing it down to a smaller area and set up cameras and food with traps to rescue her. This story has been heard around the world and only proves how much people love dogs.
